United updates boarding process, Alibaba expands cloud partnership, Verizon denies accusations

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you today.

Alibaba is boosting its partnership with German software company SAP. The two plan to offer SAP’s business management software to customers of Alibaba’s cloud computing platform in China. SAP CEO says the partnership expands its ability to help China grow more “intelligent enterprises.”

Our parent company, Verizon, is denying claims it’s been “deprioritizing” mobile data plans in North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Florence. A Verizon spokesperson told the Washington Post they it is not throttling and says reported issues may be because cell service is down in the wake of the storm.

It’s Amazon’s first European launch outside of the EU zone. The company says Turkish customers will have access to millions of products from local businesses.

Microsoft’s good year is trickling down to shareholders. The company’s board has hiked its quarterly dividend by nearly 10%. This comes as Microsoft rolls out a new suite of apps designed to make use of its augmented reality goggles. The new apps let colleagues connect using the HoloLens for things like virtual inspections.
