UFO Fans Spot Plane ‘Flying 100 Times Too Fast’

Not everybody is convinced, but UFO fans claim to have found a ‘smoking gun’ - a plane going 100 times faster than a normal aircraft.

The object was captured on a flight tracking app - streaking across the sky over Auckland far faster than any earthly aircraft would.

It was spotted by eagle-eyed staffers at TVNZs Breakfast Club show - who then saw it on their weather cams.

Cue the spooky music.

Naturally, YouTube UFO fans such as SecureTeam10 have seized on the footage as ‘proof’ of extraterrestrial visitors - although TVNZ seem to be rather tongue-in-cheek about their encounter.

Other, more sober observers note that flight tracker apps tend to track aircraft using transponders - which would mean that the aliens were really trying VERY hard to blend in.

The announcer says, ‘Big news - a UFO. We had a sighting, guys. One of our colleagues has Flight Tracker where he watches planes all over the world.

‘When we saw what was on the flight tracker, we checked the weather cams. Look at the top - what is that?

‘It’s not a plane. What is it? It’s not the shape of a plane, it’s sort of saucer shaped - in a UFO way… and there’s two eyes.’
