UDR: Q2 Earnings Snapshot

The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of 61 cents per share.

Funds from operations is a closely watched measure in the REIT industry. It takes net income and adds back items such as depreciation and amortization.

The company said it had net income of $27.7 million, or 8 cents per share.

The real estate investment trust, based in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, posted revenue of $415.3 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $413.3 million, also topping Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $412.9 million.

For the current quarter ending in September, UDR expects its per-share funds from operations to range from 61 cents to 63 cents.

The company expects full-year funds from operations in the range of $2.42 to $2.50 per share.
