Twitter Has Gone In And Out Of Service All Day

UPDATE: Twitter now seems to be back in action, but it's crashed at least twice today already.

Hold your tweets! Twitter has been down for the past 45 minutes, since 9:58 Eastern.

It may be an Amazon cloud issue, because we've had trouble with Airbnb and Foursquare too. This is the third time Twitter has crashed site-wide in three weeks.

A few minutes ago Twitter gave an update on its status:

" Some users may be experiencing issues accessing Twitter. Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue."

The main pages load (Twitter.com, Foursquare.com, Airbnb.com) but functionality on the sites seem to be down.
