How To Turn Your iPhone Into A Colorful Fashion Statement

Anostyle is a company that will give your iPhone or iPad Mini a splash of color.

We first found out about it via BGR, a gadget news site.

This isn't just paint. The company uses a process called anodization to electrically charge and dye your phone's aluminum. Your phone isn't covered in yellow, your phone is yellow.

This lets it match the bright colors in Nokia's Lumia Windows Phone line.

This stands in stark contrast to a company called Colorware, which very neatly and carefully paints your devices. However, paint can chipped or get scratched.

One big caution: If you've bought AppleCare or an insurance plan through your wireless carrier, anodization will void your warranty, Anostyle says. That's a big consideration, since you can't get a refund on a prepaid AppleCare service plan. If you pay monthly for your insurance on your phone bill, however, you can simply cancel it.
