TSX rises 0.66 percent

NEW YORK (Reuters) - * The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX (.GSPTSE) rose 99.96 points, or 0.66 percent, to 15,211.22.

* Leading the index were Husky Energy Inc (Toronto:HSE.TO - News), up 12.4 percent, Crescent Point Energy Corp (Toronto:CPG.TO - News), up 4.5 percent, and Canada Goose Holdings Inc (Toronto:GOOS.TO - News), higher by 4.5 percent.

* Lagging shares were MEG Energy Corp (Toronto:MEG.TO - News), down 35.6 percent, Peyto Exploration & Development Corp (Toronto:PEY.TO - News), down 10.7 percent, and Aurora Cannabis Inc (Toronto:ACB.TO - News), lower by 10.5 percent.

* On the TSX 160 issues rose and 76 fell as a 2.1-to-1 ratio favored advancers. There were 6 new highs and 1 new lows, with total volume of 257.1 million shares.

* The most heavily traded shares by volume were Aurora Cannabis Inc (Toronto:ACB.TO - News), Meg Energy Corp (Toronto:MEG.TO - News) and Bombardier Inc (BBDb.TO).

* The TSX's energy group (.SPTTEN) rose 0.66 points, or 0.44 percent, while the financials sector (.SPTTFS) climbed 2.36 points, or 0.83 percent.

* West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 0.1 percent, or $0.05, to $52.26 a barrel. Brent crude fell 0.16 percent, or $0.1, to $61.22 [O/R]

* The TSX is up 6.2 percent for the year.
