Nevada Gold Corp. (OTCBB:NVGC - News) shares closed up 14.50 percent on Friday with about 2.1 million shares traded. The stock’s trading range was in between 0.27 - 0.31 a share that day. The Company’s President Merril Moses announced earlier in the week that the company is looking to expand the current size of the board of directors for the purpose of assisting in raising capital to fund the company's exploration projects and to assist in evaluations and negotiating any future acquisitions the company may contemplate.

Sequenom Inc. (NASDAQ:SQNM - News) shares closed up 24.12 percent on Friday on about 8.4 million shares traded. Average trading volume for the stock is just about 3 million shares. The company reported a loss of $28.1 million, or 24 cents per share, in the quarter ended Sept. 30 after losing $30.2 million, or 26 cents per share, a year ago. Revenue jumped to $44 million from $22.9 million.
