When I first decided to go ahead and get these hiking boots, I was a little scared about the price. Spoiler alert: I know now that the price tag includes comfort and peace of mind that I’ll have these boots for years to come. I did have to break these boots in around the ankle, but after two or three wears they felt about as second skin as a pair of hiking boots can be and I never leave the house without them, even if we aren’t planning on going anywhere near the woods. What I really love about the Danner Adrika boots is that they’re waterproof, so I don’t have to worry about muddy or flooded trails. I’ve also never washed them and they somehow still look great three years into owning them, which is surprising considering the suede upper.

I find that these boots are true to size, and my size 8 feet fit comfortably without any weird rubbing or extra space in the toe-bed, no matter the type of socks I wear. I’ve worn these boots all summer long through hot hikes as well as throughout the winter with a pair of thick socks, and they deliver no matter the weather.
The Danner Adrika boots come with an extra pair of laces, and though I haven’t had the need to swap them out, it’s definitely nice to know that I have a back-up pair. I love the look of these boots and feel like they are the epitome of function meets fashion. Plus, they look cute next to my boyfriend’s Danner Mountain 600’s in the similar men’s style.
