If driving a car that is eco-friendly is important to you, here’s a list of the 10 most fuel-efficient 2016 and 2017 EVs with the best driving ranges* to consider. They include small and compact cars and an MPV. If price is a concern, rest assured that, for the timebeing, a higher vehicle price still can be offset by federal tax credits and state incentives (from $2,500-$7,500).

Plans are in the works for an Ioniq Electric in 2018 to travel 200 miles before recharge, according to Automotive News. The Ioniq Electric’s 28-kWh Lithium-ion battery propels an electric motor that makes 120 horsepower and can be recharged to 80% in 24 minutes, Hyundai says.
