Yahoo Finance Tennis Star Naomi Osaka's New Sweetgreen Bowl Sounds Like The Perfect Summer Lunch
Even if you're not an avid tennis watcher, you should know by now that Naomi Osaka is an icon. The four-time Grand Slam winner is making moves on and off the court (she's a co-chair of this year's Met Gala!) and her latest collaboration with Sweetgreen is yet another way she's making an impact.
In an Instagram post, Naomi shared a photo of her in front of a Sweetgreen sign with a caption explaining the partnership. "Anyone that knows me knows I’ve been into @sweetgreen for a while (I eat it minimum three times a week when I’m training/at shoots), which is why I’m excited to share that I’m their newest partner and youngest investor," she wrote. "More on how we’re redefining fast food together coming soon."
Sweetgreen followed up with the announcement in a blog post where they explained that working with Naomi is one step they're taking to help their brand speak to future generations. As part of the partnership, Sweetgreen is launching a new bowl inspired by Naomi's favorite order from the chain on May 20. The Naomi Osaka Bowl will feature warm quinoa, baby spinach, cilantro, tomato, tortilla chips, raw carrots, goat cheese, blackened chicken, lime-cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette, avocado, and hot sauce.
Naomi and Sweetgreen will also be furthering an initiative to support The Asian American Foundation in their work to advance equity for the AAPI community. You can keep up with Sweetgreen's plans here.
