Stocks on edge, bonds up ahead of jobs report

Winners and losers

Let's take a look at some of today's winners and losers. Stocks on the move lower today include electronics retailer Conn's on a surprise quarterly loss; Sarepta Therapeutics as Jefferies sees approval of a key drug as slim; and Oracle tanking on news a former employee is suing the company, claiming she was terminated in retaliation for voicing concerns over accounting practices. Oracle plans to counter sue.

Stocks in the green today include networking company Ciena on an earnings beat, Tonix pharma up on a Cantor Fitzgerald upgrade, and Joy Global surging on a big earnings beat and a double-digit increase in bookings from the last quarter.

China a concern?

As expectations grow for a Fed rate hike this summer. Could risks abroad come back into the mix? Yahoo Finance's Justine Underhill has more at the charts.

Trouble in Techland?

The big jobs report is out tomorrow, and ahead of that big piece of data, there's one area that many are focused on—tech. Tech is expected to be the fastest growing job sector in the coming years, but could that be in jeopardy? Looking ahead

  • It's the big one, the unemployment and non-farm payrolls report hits the wires in the morning. The street's expecting around 158,000 jobs created. Catch Yahoo Finance's Market Movers tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ET for live analysis.

  • We'll also get data on the services sector in America with ISM's non-manufacturing index for May. The Street consensus is for a 55.5 reading, a slight down tick from the prior month.

  • Finally, the soccer world sets its sights on the US as the 2016 Copa America soccer tournament kicks off in Santa Clara, California, with Team USA facing off against highly-rated Colombia. This marks the first time the competition has been played outside of South America.
