1. The Mandalorian
The Mandalorian remains one of the most popular Star Wars costumes you can buy right now. We had a 7-year-old test this one out—not only did he wear it to dinner, but he slept in it, as well. It's cozy, show-accurate, and just plain fun to wear. Our tester noted that the helmet was a little large, but otherwise had no complaints about this out-of-this-world costume.
2. Boba Fett
Boba Fett is the original Mandalorian, so it should come as no surprise that our 9-year-old tester loved this Star Wars costume. It comes with a cape and mask, and if you really want to deck it out, you can pick up the matching gauntlets and jet pack. Unlike The Mandalorian costume, this mask fit our tester a little bit better. It also featured a black T on the front of the helmet, preventing the tester's face from peeking out.
3. Merida
Our 8-year-old tester tried—and loved—this Merida costume from Brave. The dress comes in emerald green and features gold etching and a gold belt. It wasn't the most comfortable costume our tester tried, but she loved the addition of the Merida light-up wand. You can also pick up a Merida tiara and Merida costume shoes to round out this look.
4. Tinker Bell
Tinker Bell is a classic costume, regardless of the year. This happy green dress can be paired with a number of fun accessories, like wings and shoes. Our tester loved the way this one looked, and while she said it got itchy around the waist, her mother added a cotton tank top to alleviate the symptoms.
5. Magic carpet
This Aladdin-themed wheelchair wrap makes a great option for kids looking to incorporate their wheelchairs into their costumes this year. Right now, it's on sale for just $40 at shopDisney. This costume includes two carpet decals and two wheel covers. It fits on wheelchairs with wheels up to 24" and features hook and loop tabs so it can be easily adjusted to any chair.
6. Belle
Our head of business development, Jason Blanck, picked up this Belle costume for his 2-year-old daughter Bella, who loved jumping around the house in it. 1. Darth Vader mask
It's not Halloween without a Darth Vader (or 12) running around. To get the most authentic Darth Vader look, you'll want a voice-changing mask—which our eight-year-old tester was obsessed with. The mask has more than 15 pre-programmed Darth Vader sound effects and turns the wearer's voice into a spooky Vader-esque growl. Our tester's parents even noted that the mask became a popular family activity, with everyone wanting to give it a try.
2. Spider-Man web shooters
Got a Spider-Man this Halloween? They need a set of web shooters to really round out their costume. Our 9-year-old tester loved how cool these shooters were—and so did his parents. It wasn't possible to use both at once, but our tester (and his family!) loved wearing and experimenting with these shooters, which are sure to provide an extra layer of authenticity to any Spider-Man costume.
3. Cinderella shoes
No princess costume is complete without the right shoes, and these Cinderella slippers are down to just $16 at shopDisney right now. 4. Thor's hammer
The cool thing about Thor's hammer Mjolnir is that it works perfectly with any Thor costume, but after Halloween, it just becomes another great toy in your child's bin.
