It's no secret that a good set of All-Clad cookware can cost you a pretty penny. These high-quality pots and pans are constructed with three to five different layers of bonded metal, including one of 18/0 stainless-steel, and go for upwards of $500 when sold in a set—but that was before today. Through April 11, this highly rated All-Clad seven-piece stainless-steel cookware set, which goes for around $494.95 at Amazon, has been marked down to $289.99. That's one of the best prices we've ever seen on it, beating even the Black Friday price we saw on it of $299.99 by $10.
While we haven't yet tested this specific set, it has a near-perfect rating from more than 140 Macy's customers, who say it offers wonderful heat distribution. It comes with a 2-quart saucepan with a lid, a 10-inch frying pan, a 3-quart sauté pan with a lid and and 6-quart covered stockpot.
We named a similar 10-piece All-Clad stainless-steel grouping ($869) among the best cookware we've ever tested for its "superior" heat distribution and life-long durability. Not only is the smaller seven-piece find made by the same manufacturer, it has many of the same attributes (think a hand-polished mirror finish, for one), albeit with a tri-ply construction instead of the 10-piece's five-ply one.
