Sound Off for Dec. 4
COVID vaccine & transmission to babies
While it’s true that getting the COVID-19 vaccine may not kill a baby, it could if you pass the disease to an infant too young to be vaccinated. It is definitely true that you could cause the death of a vulnerable family member or neighbor.
Watch the sunset
The Coast has the most amazing sunsets and sunrises over the Gulf of Mexico this time of year. If you haven’t seen them, you should make the time.
Leonard Pitts column
Leonard Pitts opinions are one sided and self serving. To compare something that happened in 1930 or 1955 to anything happening now is just disingenuous. I read another of his opinions where he actually blames today’s flash mob robberies on Donald Trump’s refusal to release his taxes.
Split beliefs
No matter how you spin it, you cannot be pro-life if you support the death penalty and pro-choice for vaccinations but not for a women’s right to choice to have or terminate her pregnancy.
Gas prices
The concern over rising gas prices is short sighted and poorly informed. In reality, gas prices are as low as they have ever been compared to other cost of living indices, including during the 1950s and 60s. Look up inflation-adjusted gas prices since 1918. If you don’t like the current gas prices, drive a more efficient car or drive less.
Trash cans on the curb
At least half of the houses on my street never move their can from the curb.
