Shareholders Are Raving About How The Magna Gold (CVE:MGR) Share Price Increased 303%

It might be of some concern to shareholders to see the Magna Gold Corp. (CVE:MGR) share price down 10% in the last month. But that doesn't change the fact that the returns over the last year have been spectacular. In that time, shareholders have had the pleasure of a 303% boost to the share price. So it is not that surprising to see the stock retrace a little. Only time will tell if there is still too much optimism currently reflected in the share price.

Because Magna Gold made a loss in the last twelve months, we think the market is probably more focussed on revenue and revenue growth, at least for now. When a company doesn't make profits, we'd generally expect to see good revenue growth. That's because fast revenue growth can be easily extrapolated to forecast profits, often of considerable size.

We're pleased to report that the CEO is remunerated more modestly than most CEOs at similarly capitalized companies. But while CEO remuneration is always worth checking, the really important question is whether the company can grow earnings going forward. Before buying or selling a stock, we always recommend a close examination of historic growth trends, available here..

A Different Perspective

It's nice to see that Magna Gold shareholders have gained 303% over the last year. Unfortunately the share price is down 5.5% over the last quarter. It may simply be that the share price got ahead of itself, although there may have been fundamental developments that are weighing on it. I find it very interesting to look at share price over the long term as a proxy for business performance. But to truly gain insight, we need to consider other information, too. For example, we've discovered 3 warning signs for Magna Gold (1 doesn't sit too well with us!) that you should be aware of before investing here.
