GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) _ Senseonics Holdings Inc. (SENS) on Thursday reported a loss of $101.6 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Germantown, Maryland-based company said it had a loss of 41 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 12 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 11 cents per share.

The medical technology company posted revenue of $3.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $175.2 million, or 77 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $4.9 million.

Senseonics expects full-year revenue in the range of $12 million to $15 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $2.69. A year ago, they were trading at $1.56.
