See Donald Trump’s Secret Clothing Hack

How does he keep his tie uniform? Scotch tape

When Donald Trump stepped off his plane on a blustery day in Indiana this week, audiences were treated to an accidental peek at the president-elect’s low-budget fashion hack.

When the wind tousled Trump’s signature hairdo on the tarmac in Indianapolis Thursday, it also blew his red tie over his shoulder, revealing that he tapes the back of his tie to the front.

GQ breaks down Trump’s sartorial problem: “The biggest factor contributing to his menswear fail is that he just ties his neckwear way too long, a good four inches beyond where your tie should stop… Because the President-elect doesn’t leave enough slack on the thin end to reach the built-in loop, he’s left with an unmoored sliver of silk that threatens his commanding suited man presence.”

Trump’s answer? Two pieces of Scotch tape. Left unclear is whether Trump will continue with this DIY solution once he becomes president.
