Second Mountain Mike’s Pizza location opens in SLO County with arcade, televised sports

Mountain Mike’s Pizza has officially opened its newest spot overlooking Pismo Beach — the second location for the pizza chain in San Luis Obispo County.

The restaurant, which opened Aug. 30, is located at 441 Five Cities Drive in the former site of Coco’s Bakery Restaurant, which closed its doors in February.

This is the second location for the chain, after its first opened in Atascadero in April 2022.

The new South County 4,900-square-foot restaurant offers a “very nice view” of Pismo Beach and Highway 101, co-owner Gary Grewal told The Tribune. Grewal co-owns Tiger Foods, Hospitality & Retail, which holds the contracts for the Central Coast Mountain Mikes locations.

He said the opening has been “pretty good” so far, and has drawn a lot of community members and sports teams from the Five Cities area in particular.

The new restaurant features a private party room and a family friendly arcade equipped with games for children and birthday parties.

Grewal said the arcade features some “really cool games” and they are waiting on a few more to arrive.

“They’re delayed in some container in Long Beach,” he laughed. “Once we get those, it should be fun.”
