Scotiabank Recognized as One of the Best Places to Work in Canada

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - April 10, 2015) - Scotiabank has been named one of the Best Workplaces in Canada by the Great Place to Work® Institute for the sixth consecutive year.

"We are proud to once again be ranked among the top employers and Best Workplaces in Canada," said Barbara Mason, Scotiabank's Chief Human Resources Officer. "Our employees are the heart of our company -- their talent, enthusiasm and commitment to serving our customers is the foundation of doing business here in Canada and internationally. This recognition is particularly meaningful because it reflects our employees' own perspective on their experience working at Scotiabank. We will strive to continue to provide an engaging environment that encourages our employees to perform at their very best."

Scotiabank was also recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Women in Canada at last night's awards ceremony.

Earlier this year, Scotiabank was recognized as a Best Workplace in the Central America and Caribbean region in Panama, Costa Rica and El Salvador. Scotiabank has also been recognized as a Best Workplace in Mexico.
