Sarama Resources Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - December 07, 2016) - Sarama Resources Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: SWA) is pleased to announce that Mr. Lui Evangelista has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of the Company.

Mr. Evangelista is a Certified Practicing Accountant with thirty years of public company accounting, finance and corporate governance experience. This includes eighteen years in the mining industry, of which nine years has been working at operational and corporate level with companies operating in Francophone Africa. Mr. Evangelista has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance.

Mr. Evangelista's appointment comes with the resignation of Mr. Nick Longmire who has been the Company's CFO since 2011 and who is leaving to pursue personal interests.
