Sarah Jessica Parker continues to live up to her reputation as a risk-taking fashion maven with Tuesday's appearance on the Tonight Show. The actress's simultaneously whimsical and showstopping take on a risky fashion pairing may be one of our favorites yet.

The Sex and the City alum, who reminisced with host Jimmy Fallon about guest-starring on his very first episode during the segment, dazzled in a shiny red-and-black off-the-shoulder dress with shiny threads interwoven throughout the festive piece.

The youthful 51-year-old was all smiles during her close-up, wearing her ombre hair down in relaxed waves and pairing her plunging neckline with statement necklaces and a pendant, but the real star of the night was--to no one's surprise--SJP's footwear.

The Divorce star showed us exactly how to wear tights with open-toe heels this season by showing off her toned legs in sheer black tights embellished with black stripes and buttons and a pair of metallic red heeled sandals.
