Yahoo Finance “RuPaul's Drag Race” season 16 cast revealed: Meet the 14 new queens
MTV's "Drag Race" season 16 cast includes Kandy Muse's drag daughter, Kornbread's drag sister, and a queen who regularly climbs to the ceiling on stage.
RuPaul's Drag Race is revealing the cast of 14 new queens set to werk Mama RuPaul's runway on the show's sweet season 16 that's more delectable than a golden chocolate bar.
Competing for the show's 16th regular-season crown, a $200,000 prize, and the title of America's Next Drag Superstar across the two-part premiere is an eclectic mix of drag styles from around the country, including season 13 star and All Stars 8 finalist Kandy Muse's drag daughter, season 14 Miss Congeniality winner Kornbread's drag sister from the House of Jeté, and a fashion-forward queen responsible for making several jaw-dropping looks worn by UK vs. the World's Mo Heart and season 15's Luxx Noir London.
The show's two-part premiere will also introduce a new twist, as two groups participate in maxi challenges divided into themes: MTV’s Spring Break and the Queen Choice Awards. Following the talent show performances, the queens will be tasked to Rate-A-Queen and rank each other’s performances. This will determine the tops and bottoms of the challenge. The new episodes will again be followed by regular episodes of Untucked.

Season 16 is set to roll in the wake of pageant legend Sasha Colby's victory at the end of season 15 following a jaw-dropping, nearly-nude lip-sync number on the finale, marking a monumental achievement for the Hawaii native's drag career that also includes a speaking engagement at the White House, a role on season 9 winner Sasha Velour's NightGowns TV show, shepherding season 14 queen Kerri Colby into the drag canon, and winning the prestigious Miss Continental pageant in 2012.
