After making efforts to improve the organization in several areas, the group reached a one-year deal with NBC to televise this year's ceremony.

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael will host the 2023 ceremony. Several stars have been announced as presenters too, including Quentin Tarantino, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billy Porter, Niecy Nash-Betts and Tracy Morgan.
