Recipe Unlimited Corporation (TSE:RECP) insider upped their holding by 28% earlier this year

Looking at Recipe Unlimited Corporation's (TSE:RECP ) insider transactions over the last year, we can see that insiders were net buyers. That is, there were more number of shares purchased by insiders than there were sold.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Recipe Unlimited Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Chief Financial Officer Kenneth Grondin made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for CA$100k worth of shares at a price of CA$13.31 each. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of CA$20.64. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.

From looking at our data, insiders own CA$1.7m worth of Recipe Unlimited stock, about 0.1% of the company. However, it's possible that insiders might have an indirect interest through a more complex structure. I generally like to see higher levels of ownership.
