Range Media Partners Signs Keegan-Michael Key, Elle Key & Their Bigger Picture Media Banner

EXCLUSIVE: Keegan-Michael Key and his multi-hyphenate partner Elle Key, along with their Bigger Picture Media Group banner, have signed with Range Media Partners for management.

An Emmy, Peabody, and Webby Award-winning actor, writer, and producer, Keegan-Michael Key last year starred in projects including Illumination and Nintendo’s smash hit The Super Mario Bros. Movie, top holiday movie Wonka opposite Timothée Chalamet, and the second season of the award-winning comedy series Schmigadoon! for Apple TV+. He will next be seen in John Krasinski’s IF, the Farrelly brothers’ Christmas comedy Dear Santa alongside Jack Black, and the animated sci-fi pic Transformers One — all for Paramount. Additionally, he’ll be seen coming up on ABC’s Emmy-winning sitcom Abbott Elementary and in Amazon MGM Studios’ crime thriller Play Dirty, opposite Mark Wahlberg and more.

Key came to worldwide attention as the co-creator and co-star, alongside Jordan Peele, of Comedy Central’s Emmy-winning sketch series Key & Peele. Since then, he’s also been seen on shows like Netflix’s The Pentaverate and Hulu’s Reboot, along with films like Netflix’s The Bubble and Dolemite Is My Name and Paramount’s Playing with Fire.

Additionally, Keegan-Michael has lent his voice to a number of animated projects, including Henry Selick’s Wendell & Wild, Disney+’s Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers and Pinocchio, Amazon’s Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania, and Disney’s Toy Story 4 and The Lion King, among others.

An award-winning director, writer and producer of film, television, and commercials, Elle Key spent her early years working off-Broadway with theater companies such as Malaparte, Naked Angels, and the Atlantic before producing a number of independent features including Nanette Burstein’s Sundance award-winning documentary American Teen, as well as August with Josh Hartnett, Adam Scott, Naomi Harris, and David Bowie. She served as second unit producer on Doug Liman’s Fair Game, with Sean Penn and Naomi Watts, and has helmed numerous national commercial campaigns as well as several projects for the NFL, the Pro Bowl, the Peabody Awards, and the Gotham Awards. In 2017, she was the first female head writer for The NFL Honors, and she returned to write for and produce the 2024 show. Additionally, she is a member of the Creative Coalition and Women in Film and is on the Leadership Council for RFK Human Rights.

As co-president and founder of Bigger Picture Media Group, Elle has been writing and directing with, and for, her partner Keegan-Michael Key for almost a decade, including on the original Audible series The History of Sketch Comedy hosted by Keegan-Michael and written by Elle, garnering her a Webby Award for Best Writing. Last year, the pair took the concept of the award-winning podcast and turned it into a book, co-writing The History of Sketch Comedy, which became an acclaimed bestseller, landing a spot on Best Books of 2023 lists from Barnes & Noble and Vulture.

Additionally, under Bigger Picture Media, the duo executive produced CBS’s Game On! and National Geographic’s Brain Games, both hosted by Keegan-Michael. The production company is currently in development on a number of projects across film and television.

Both Keegan-Michael and Elle Key continue to be represented by UTA, Brecheen Feldman Breimer, and Viewpoint.
