Race to the Clouds, Pikes Peak Update - Cycle World and Roland Sands Designs Project 156
We rarely report on other magazine's happenings, but this is too exciting to pass up. We're slightly envious of friend and Cycle World Road Test Editor Don Canet. Cycle World in conjunction with Roland Sands Design and Victory Motorcycles are building an all-American motorcycle to race at the infamous, Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

You should already know about this bike from our first article following the announcement (link above), but the team has decided to start with a series of teasers that slowly give out more and more information. Here's the first in probably many teasers to follow.
Named Project 156, no full pics of the bike have been released just yet. The Pikes Peak finish line is over 14,000 feet over sea level and this makes for some interesting tuning challenges as the bikes reach the top of the mountain. Watch as Victory Motorcycles engineers put the Project 156 engine through it's paces on the dyno.
