Forty-seven per cent of players had Florida winning the series but only 16 per cent correctly predicted the Panthers would take the Stanley Cup in seven contests. The most popular choice (32 per cent) was Florida winning in five games.

Edmonton captain Connor McDavid became just the sixth player -- and second non-goalie -- to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP on a losing team. Fifty-six per cent of bettors had McDavid winning the award with Florida goalie Sergei Bobrovsky a distant second (26 per cent).
