** Bank of Montreal said on Friday it had partnered with U.S. private equity firm Carlyle Group to launch a fund targeting high net-worth clients, as part of a push to open up markets for privately-owned assets to a broader array of individual investors.

** Canada's Flair Airlines has reduced its spring schedule by more than 600 flights, making cost-saving cuts to its domestic network even as it adds holiday routes after the failure of low-cost rival Lynx Air.
