Port Royal’s Christmas manger has views of the water. Santa, singer Liz Jane coming to town
This Christmas manger has a view of the water, and you’re invited.
Music from the Manger, a new three-day Christmas event in Port Royal featuring food trucks, vendors and music, kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday against the beautiful backdrop of Battery Creek. It’s for a good cause.
A run-down warehouse has been converted into a rustic manger and a concert hall.
Mayor Joe DeVito will start the weekend of festivities at 6 p.m. Friday when the Christmas Village of vendors opens for business. Entering the festival to enjoy the vendors and food trucks is complimentary, but don’t forget to buy tickets for Liz Jane’s concert Saturday in the manger. Jane has produced a Christmas CD called, “A Thrill of Hope.”
Funds raised will benefit Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) of Beaufort.
Santa will visit the village at 7 p.m. Saturday, followed by the Liz Jane concert. The town’s annual golf cart parade at 6:15 p.m. Saturday will end at the Christmas village.
