Constantly dropping your smartphone or tablet? PopSockets—a.k.a., specially designed phone grips that you can put on the back of your cases to maintain a better hold on your device—just might be the perfect solution. And now, thanks to several incredible sales running at the brand's official site, there's another reason to give these handy gizmos a try.

For a limited time, you can save up to 60% during the Warehouse Sale, with prices starting from $3. Additionally, if you buy any two PopSockets, you can save 15% (you'll get 20% off if you buy three and 25% off when you buy four: Just use the promotional code POPTOPS at checkout). You'll also get free shipping on U.S. orders of $20 or more.

What are PopSockets—and are they reusable?

PopSockets are completely reusable—you just have to know what to do.
PopSockets are completely reusable—you just have to know what to do.

At first glance, these knob-like stick-'ems might not seem like much, but the truth is, they're as practical as they are cute, and the right one could end up saving you hundreds of dollars in cracked-screen repair costs over time. As the author of our guide to the best PopSockets on the market who personally tested every model—and more importantly, a lifelong klutz—I consider myself an expert on these accessories. I love the way that they not only help prevent phone drops, but also make everything—from texting to watching videos on a phone or tablet—so much easier.

Made with an accordion-style stem and decorative disc top, PopSockets can contract in or expand out. This allows them to not only function as a phone grip and stand, but to easily slip into your back pocket thanks to that stretchy stem. With some models, you can even twist the stem off to switch out your PopSocket.

In our lab, we were able to definitively answer one of the biggest questions surrounding these phone accessories, beginning with, "Are they reusable?" As it turns out, they are. Each stem juts out from a circular plastic base, which has a type of modified acrylic adhesive on the bottom. You can transfer them to new surfaces up to four times before that adhesive actually starts to deteriorate—just wipe the sticky part off a damp washcloth to get rid of dirt and other sediment buildup that may be caked on.

Not only that, but PopSockets are also pretty powerful. After sticking the adhesive side to the underside of a plastic-coated wooden table, we found that a brand-new, never-been-used model was able to hold three pounds of bagged sand overnight, while a used one—which had about 10% less adhesive compared to the new Popsocket—held two pounds of bagged sand for 45 minutes before falling to the ground.

The best PopSockets to get on sale

The PopSockets PopGrips was our pick for the best PopSockets, and now it's on sale.
The PopSockets PopGrips was our pick for the best PopSockets, and now it's on sale.

Here's the thing: You can usually find PopSockets for cheap if you're shopping in-stores at places such as Target, for instance, where PopSockets' PopGrip ($10)—our all-around favorite and the brand's basic, most iconic product—is frequently discounted. The value of this particular sale, however, is that you can find products that aren't easy to track down at many retailers and are almost never on sale.

In addition to the unique patterns you'll find on the PopGrip, like the Tidepool Golden (originally $20 and on sale for $8), you could grab two top-only PopGrip Backspins, (meaning it's one of those PopSockets you can swap out), which are regularly $34 for both, for $28.90 when you use the coupon code POPTOPS at checkout to drop the value of each one to $14.45. That's the best price we could find for one of them.

In testing, we found the Backspin to be a terrific choice for anyone with restless hands, as it functions like a fidget spinner—you get all the same great benefits you would with a normal PopSocket, but you also get to spin it around. While the aluminum top makes a slight whizzing sound as it spins, it wasn't enough to deter us from recommending it.

Another potentially good find? The PopSockets multi-surface mount, our pick for the best PopSocket to use in a car. Originally $10, you can get it in hibiscus for $7, so you'll save 30%. In testing, we found it held onto phones the most securely. The fact that you can also use it on different surfaces, including mirrors, cabinets and tiled walls, makes this a stellar option for in-home use as well.

No matter which model you choose, this is your chance to get several popular choices for a significant price drop and potentially prevent phone drops in the future. This sale won't last, however, so shop it while you can.
