NEW YORK (AP) — NEW YORK (AP) — Morgan Stanley (MS) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $3.08 billion.

The New York-based company said it had earnings of $1.82 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.65 per share.

The investment bank posted revenue of $26.48 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $15.02 billion, also surpassing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $14.18 billion.
