Assistant city attorney II

Description: This is highly responsible, professional legal work providing legal analysis and advice to the City Attorney, City Commissioners, the City’s Administrative Staff and various City boards, and committees. Responsibilities will vary depending on the departments to which the attorney is assigned and depending on the needs of the office and skills of the candidate. The ACA II position is generally geared towards land use, including planning and historic preservation.

Assistant city attorney II

Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the prosecution of criminal violations of the City’s code of ordinances before the County Court in and for Miami-Dade County Florida. Additionally, the successful candidate will also conduct legal research and writing on constitutional issues arising from existing and proposed criminal legislation and will be responsible for drafting appellate briefs and appearing in the appellate court to defend the City’s criminal ordinances.

Salary: $2,764.66 to $4,522.26 biweekly

Description: General lifesaving work in the preservation of safety and order at an assigned station on a public beach.

Salary: $20.80 to $31.01 Hourly

Police officer

Description: General police functions in the prevention of crime, protection of life and property and apprehension of criminal offenders, through the enforcement of laws and ordinances and the maintenance of community order through the performance of numerous human services, as well as providing general information and assistance to the public.

Salary: $2,299.51 to $3,398.43 Biweekly

Procurement director

Description: Responsible for directing and supervising operations of the Procurement Division. Emphasis is on planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of buyers and clerical employees engaged in the purchase of various commodities and services for use by the City.

Salary: $4,806.81 to $8,526.07 biweekly
