MININGRECRUITER.COM Launches Free Recruitment Portal for Downtrodden Industry

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / August 19, 2015 / We are pleased to announce the launch of MININGRECRUITER.COM, the first career portal for the Mining Industry to offer unlimited free job postings to Resource focused companies all over the world. It is our goal to connect the many unemployed and underemployed professionals out there with opportunities, while in turn allowing companies to save drastically on their recruitment costs.

By developing MININGRECRUITER, we have made it easier than ever for mining companies to find and hire the talent they need, while saving time and money in the process.

Led by BCBusiness 30 Under 30 alumni Andrew Pollard, who founded The Mining Recruitment Group in 2006, MiningRecruiter plans to hit the ground running with an aim to help the many highly skilled and underemployed mining professionals across the world with their number one frustration: finding opportunities.

Andrew Pollard, Founder of MiningRecruiter states "The Australian Institute of Geoscientists just released a report that showed 35 percent of respondents indicated that they were either unemployed or underemployed. Additionally, only 43 percent of geoscientists that were still employed were confident that they would retain their positions over the next year. Anyone working within the Mineral Exploration Industry knows that such figures aren't isolated to any one country. It is systemic and pervasive and there isn't a single person out there who hasn't come out unscathed in one way or another. Frankly speaking, it's hard out there and I wanted to give back to those(few) mining companies that are still hiring, by making it completely free to post jobs on, allowing recruitment budgets to go just a little farther. In a market like this, Mining companies should be encouraged to recruit and shouldn't be nickel and dimed to do so. By offering this free resource, I hope to take a bit of the pain out of jobsearch by allowing every mining focused company to post all of their jobs in one place, saving jobseekers from having to jump from site to site to scour for new opportunities. Unless we make the process easier to match the many candidates with the employers who do have openings, we risk losing highly skilled professionals to other industries, which will have dire consequences for the Sector in general as soon as things begin to rebound."

For Candidates, the technology allows jobseekers to navigate their career search, both on our job board and on other employer and career sites all from one central place free of charge and cuts down many of the redundancies when filling out application forms saving significant time.

Andrew Pollard states "The technology behind MININGRECRUITER is more dynamic than other mining focused career site on the planet. We are a Candidate focused site and offer many tools to help you take control of your job search, free of charge, going far beyond just matching Employers with Candidates. MININGRECRUITER can help you create a resume to stand out from the crowd, match you to great opportunities with some of the most notable miners on the planet while also allowing you to maintain complete control of your confidentiality and career preferences. Our candidate dashboard allows you to keep track of every job you have applied for, whether it was through our site or through another job board and save notes from research, phone calls and interviews all in one place throughout the search process. By using our platform, your job search will not only be more organized, but in fact save you significant time during any application process. "

For Employers, using MININGRECRUITER means you will never have to pay to post your job ads again. Unlike any other career site, MININGRECRUITER gives Employers the opportunity to post jobs to a targeted, international audience of mining professionals completely free of charge.

Andrew Pollard states "As we await the brutal bear market within the sector to draw to an end, I've encountered two common realities within the marketplace. The first is that Candidates embarking upon a career search need all the help they can get, both in terms of finding good opportunities but also in navigating themselves throughout the application process. The second reality is that mining companies are struggling to do much more work, with budgets that are all but nonexistent. With the launch of MININGRECRUITER.COM, I have set out to alleviate this pain on both sides and create a career portal that is free to use for both job seekers and employers with positions to fill. It is loaded with additional functionality not found anywhere else."

Employers wanting to try out MININGRECRUITER are encouraged to sign-up for an account and begin posting their jobs free of charge. The first 20 Mining Employers to register will receive a free Featured Employer Profile page to gain exposure for their listings and Company for a period of three months.

Mining Professionals are also encouraged to create a free profile now to be found by mining companies looking to match your skills directly to their jobs and also benefit from our functionality that will save you time and make your job search more organized.
