MGX-Highbury Expand Work to Gasify Petcoke into a Synthetic Crude Oil Equivalent

Process to Create Synthetic Crude and Extract Battery Metals Underway

ZURICH, SWITZERLAND / ACCESSWIRE / July 12, 2018 / Today, MGX Minerals Inc. (CSE: XMG; OTCQB: MGXMF; FRA: 1MG) announced that "additional work" has commenced with its engineering partner Highbury Energy Inc. in regards of the ongoing development of a novel process for the gasification of petroleum coke ("petcoke"), an increasingly problematic waste product from the oil and gas industry.

It is already known that both companies are working on the extraction of the battery metals - vanadium, nickel and cobalt - from gasified petcoke ash. Apparently, they may have a solution for turning petcoke into a synthetic liquid equivalent to crude oil. The "expanded research and development" now targets a specification to allow for reuse of petcoke.
