Median rent price across the Sacramento region grew by 2.4% on average in November compared to the previous month, according to RentHub data.

The average median rent across 50 zip codes in the area was $2,300 in November, according to RentHub, a real estate data company.

Median rent prices increased in 26 of the 50 zip codes, and stayed steady or declined in 24. Carmichael’s 95608 zip code saw the largest increase: Median rents there grew by 26.74%.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sacramento has become an increasingly unaffordable place to live. Rents rose in Sacramento during the pandemic faster than all but five other major cities in the U.S., the Bee reported in March.

Between November 2020 and November 2021, median rent grew in Sacramento area zip codes grew by 27.4% on average, according to RentHub. The zip code that saw the most year-over-year change was 95818, which includes Land Park.
