McDonald's names U.S. head
The world's largest hamburger chain said Jan Fields, president of McDonald's USA, will be replaced by Jeff Stratton, global chief restaurant officer, on Dec. 1. A week ago it said sales at U.S. restaurants open at least a year fell 2.2% in Oct., the first monthly decline in 9 years. McDonald's (MCD) said there was no connection between the sales miss and executive change. Fields created the McCafe gourmet beverages menu and added healthier choices to the Happy Meal menu. Shares fell 0.7% to 84.05.
