PITTSBURGH, July 30, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Matthews International Corporation (NASDAQ GSM: MATW) today announced that its Board of Directors approved a continuation of the Company’s stock repurchase program. At June 30, 2021, approximately 325,000 shares remain to be purchased under the existing authorization. Upon the repurchase of these remaining shares, the new authorization allows Matthews to purchase up to an additional 2,500,000 shares of the Company’s common stock.

Bartolacci, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated: “The extension of this program reflects the Board’s confidence in the Company’s strategic plans for long-term value creation and history of strong cash flow generation. In addition to our quarterly cash dividends, we continue to believe that the repurchase program is an effective means to return capital to our shareholders.”
