Marty Adelstein Sets Joint Venture With ITV Studios US To Launch Tomorrow ITV Studios

EXCLUSIVE: ITV Studios US Group has finalized a joint venture agreement with Marty Adelstein to launch Tomorrow ITV Studios, a scripted studio under the umbrella of ITV Studios US Group. Adelstein had been in talks with ITV Studios for a few months. The two already have a project together: NBC’s straight-to-series drama about the Charles Manson murders Aquarius, starring David Duchovny and written by John McNamara. Adelstein segues to the ITV Studios deal following a lengthy stint at 20th Century Fox TV, most recently with the 21 Laps/Adelstein Prods. banner, a partnership with Shawn Levy. It was run by Becky Clements, who is joining Adelstein at ITV Studios and will serve as president of Tomorrow ITV Studios.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Tomorrow ITV Studios will develop and produce drama and comedy projects, distributed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment. Tomorrow ITV Studios also has projects in the pipeline that will be done as international co-productions. “While Tomorrow ITV Studios will produce pilots, the objective is to develop and package scripts with talent in a straight-to-series model as we’ve done with Aquarius,” said Adelstein. “I feel fortunate to have partnered with ITV Studios; they are amazingly supportive and innovative and they will be fully backing Tomorrow ITV Studios.” Added Paul Buccieri, Chairman ITV Studios US Group and Global Entertainment, “I’m thrilled that we’ll be partnering with Marty and his great team, including Becky Clements, to create innovative and exciting drama and comedy series.”

Adelstein, a founding partner of Endeavor, and Clements, previously EVP at Brillstein Entertainment, executive produce ABC’s Last Men Standing and upcoming comedy Cristela as well as NBC’s Aquarius. Adelstein also exec produces MTV”s Teen Wolf and his previous credits include Prison Break and Tru Calling.

ITV Studios’ U.S. outpost had signed pacts with unscripted producers in the past, and the mothership studio has acquired a slew of independent production companies in the reality space, but this is ITV Studios US Group’s first major scripted pact.
