Local Ontario Retailer Factorydirect Officially Moves and Expands Both Its Scarborough and Downtown Toronto Stores

Introduction of Larger Format Stores and Wider Selection of Household and Personal Merchandise Are a Huge Hit for Local Retailer

Locally based Ontario retail chain Factorydirect, officially launched its new format stores in Scarborough and Downtown Toronto today. These store openings continue to mark the change over from Factorydirect's original boutique store (launched 17 years ago) to its larger format customer-friendly retail store concept.

"The opening of these larger format stores continues to drive our commitment to our customer service experience. All of our new-concept stores, especially Scarborough and Downtown, house thousands of brand name technology, household and personal products," said Jodie O'Toole, vice president of Factorydirect. "Factorydirect is one of Ontario's leading liquidators, and as such, now has the capacity to offer our customer's a pleasant shopping experience with large aisles and shopping carts in each of our new larger concept stores."

Factorydirect's downtown location is the retailer's original boutique store launched 17 years ago on College Street. The new downtown store is located at 670 Bloor Street West, Toronto and has close to 6,000 square feet of shopping area.

"It was crucial for Factorydirect to have its downtown store accessible to all of its transit customers. Our downtown store has always held a special consideration for the company because it was one of the first Factorydirect stores in Ontario," said Ms. O'Toole. "We believe our downtown customers will be delighted with our larger format store, and not to mention, our incredible weekly deals on all of our wide variety of technology, household and personal products."

Factorydirect's Scarborough store is conveniently located right across the street from its former location. The new store is located at 1420 Kennedy Road and has 8,600 square feet of unbelievable deals.
