Lewis Hamilton In His F1 Car Takes On Ken Block In A Fiesta ST Rallycross: Video

The 2014 Global RallyCross Championship got underway in sunny Barbados over the weekend, and on hand to help kick off the new season was none other than Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes AMG driver was there to participate in the coinciding Top Gear Live event and took some time out to take part in a thrilling exhibition race with Ken Block.

Hamilton was driving his Mercedes AMG F1 car from the previous season while Block was behind the wheel of his Fiesta ST rallycross car. The two cars couldn’t be more different but it’s still a lot of fun to see them sliding around a track together. At the end, we even see the two excite the crowd with some very smoky donuts.

Unfortunately Block suffered a crash in his scheduled GCR event. The race was won by fellow American Scott Speed in a Volkswagen Polo rallycross car. You can see some highlights in the video below. The next stop on the 2014 GCR calendar is in Austin, Texas on June 7.
