A rare 1971 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider, bearing the serial number 14403, is set to cross the auction block at Mecum Monterey 2024. This vehicle is one of only 122 Spiders produced between 1969 and 1973, making it a highly sought-after piece of automotive history. Delivered to Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, Connecticut, this U.S. specification model was built in early 1971 and is known for its exceptional condition and prestigious accolades.

Finished in its original Giallo Fly (Fly Yellow) with a Pelle Nera (Black Leather) interior, this Daytona Spider has undergone an extensive bare-metal respray at Autofficini Cremonini in Modena, Italy, costing €76,860. Certified by Ferrari Classiche, it retains its matching-numbers 4390cc DOHC Tipo 251 V-12 engine, which produces 352 horsepower, and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car's illustrious history includes ownership by notable collectors and multiple Platinum Awards at the Cavallino Classic, highlighting its impeccable restoration and authenticity.

This Spider's impressive list of features includes six Weber 40 DCN21 A twin-choke carburetors, Magneti Marelli AEC 103 electronic ignition, original Koni suspension, power windows, and a black soft top.
