The S&P 500 closed at 2343.98 for a loss of -1.98 points or -0.08%. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 5828.74 for a gain of 11.04 points or 0.19%. The VIX Volatility Index was lower for the day at 12.92 for a loss of -0.20 points or -1.52%.
