Kroger is giving away up to 20 gallons of free gas at North Texas store on Friday

Kroger will be giving away free gas Friday to celebrate the opening of its new fuel center at its grocery store in Keller.

The first 100 customers to show up at the store at 2061 Rufe Snow Drive will get up to 20 gallons of free gas.

The giveaway starts at 8 a.m. and will last until 9 a.m. or the 100th customer is served. Cars can begin lining up at 7 a.m.

A press release announcing the promotion said it is for “anyone with a car or motorcycle who enjoys free gas.”

Leave your gas cans, lawnmowers, RVs, boats and construction equipment at home, though. Kroger says they’re not allowed in the giveaway.

All of the new fuel center’s customers will get 20 cents off per gallon on any fuel grade from Friday through Sunday. No Kroger Fuel Points are necessary to qualify for the discount.
