Kosé America Taps Chinae Kim as Vice President

Kosé America has named Chinae Kim its first vice president.

Kim most recently spearheaded marketing for Sulwhasoo and other Amorepacific brands at Amorepacific U.S., also overseeing Laneige’s expansions into the U.S. and Canada in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Before joining Amorepacific, Kim headed global travel retail marketing at The Estée Lauder Cos.

In her new position, Kim will report to Takayuki Morimatsu, chief executive officer of Kosé America. Her key priorities at the company include boosting U.S. consumer loyalty and amplifying the Japanese approach to wellness and beauty.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chinae to the company,” said Morimatsu. “As we look to drive rapid growth in the region, her wealth of experience will help strengthen brand relevance across all our channels and accelerate the brands forward.”

In 2022, Kosé Corp. told WWD it aims to quadruple its U.S. business by 2026. In 2022, the company ranked number 20 on Beauty Inc’s list of the top 100 beauty manufacturers posting $2.21 billion in sales for the year — a 7.5 percent increase versus 2021.
