JEMTEC Inc. (CVE:JTC) is a company with exceptional fundamental characteristics. Upon building up an investment case for a stock, we should look at various aspects. In the case of JTC, it is a financially-robust company with a a great track record of performance, trading at a discount. In the following section, I expand a bit more on these key aspects. For those interested in digger a bit deeper into my commentary, read the full report on JEMTEC here.

Flawless balance sheet with outstanding track record

Over the past few years, JTC has more than doubled its earnings, with its most recent figure exceeding its annual average over the past five years. This illustrates a strong track record, leading to a satisfying return on equity of 29%, which paints a buoyant picture for the company. JTC's strong financial health means that all of its upcoming liability payments are able to be met by its current cash and short-term investment holdings. This implies that JTC manages its cash and cost levels well, which is a key determinant of the company’s health. JTC currently has no debt on its balance sheet. This implies that the company is running its operations purely on off equity funding. which is typically normal for a small-cap company. JTC has plenty of financial flexibility, without debt obligations to meet in the short term, as well as the headroom to raise debt should it need to in the future.

JTC is currently trading below its true value, which means the market is undervaluing the company's expected cash flow going forward. Investors have the opportunity to buy into the stock to reap capital gains, if JTC's projected earnings trajectory does follow analyst consensus growth, which determines my intrinsic value of the company. Also, relative to the rest of its peers with similar levels of earnings, JTC's share price is trading below the group's average. This supports the theory that JTC is potentially underpriced.
