IKEA recalls safety gates due to fall hazard
About 80,000 IKEA safety gates and gate extensions were recalled on Thursday after the company received 55 incident reports.
The voluntary recall is for the IKEA's Patrull, Patrull Klamma, and Patrull Fast safety gates and extensions.
The company said the gate's locking mechanism can open unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard to children. Concussions, cuts and bruising are among the injuries reported.
IKEA warns customers to stop using the gates immediately.
Consumers are able to return the gates without a receipt to any IKEA for a full refund.
