Buffett: Choosing between two very rich guys? Pick the older one

Warren Buffett is a ladies man. While the Oracle of Omaha enjoyed a committed and loving relationship with his first wife Susan Buffett and is currently married to long-time partner Astrid Menks, he will gladly call out Sophia Loren as a celebrity crush.

Buffett doesn’t shy away from the topic of sex either—and often compares his bedroom philosophy to his ideas about money. Famous for taking complicated ideas and turning them into simple concepts, he often uses sex as an easy-to-understand analogy.

At today’s Berkshire Hathaway meeting, Buffett opened the show with a particularly good zinger. “Charlie [Munger] is always the one who gets the girl and I have one explanation for that," he said. "As you know every mother in this country tells her daughter at an early age: If you’re choosing between two very old and rich guys pick the one that’s older.”

Buffett is turning 86 this year while Munger is 92.

Later in the meeting, Buffett rebuked criticisms of high sugar levels in Coca-Cola. There are other factors that influence longevity, he said. Citing sources that show women are more likely to live to 100 than men, Buffett quipped, “If you really want to improve your longevity prospects you have a sex change; you’re 4.5 times more likely to make it to 100. It’s just a matter of fact, folks, but I think I’ll have Charlie go first on that.”

Here are some of Buffett’s best sex-related analogies from meetings and interviews past:

On saving money: "It's nice to have a lot of money, but you know, you don't want to keep it around forever. I prefer buying things. Otherwise, it's a little like saving sex for your old age."

On loving what you do: "You want to have a passion for what you are doing. You don't want to wait until 80 to have sex."

On derivatives: "Derivatives are like sex. It's not who we're sleeping with, it's who they're sleeping with that's the problem."

On economic recovery: "You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant. It just doesn't work that way."

On bull markets: "A bull market is like sex. It feels best just before it ends."
