Snapchat was down for some users on Tuesday, according to reports on social media and the official Snapchat Support Twitter account.
Starting around 3 am EST on Tuesday, Snapchat's service stopped working for some users.
By about 3 pm EST, the service was back to normal, according to a statement from the company:
"We’re happy to share that as of 12:06 pm PT, the outage that prevented some Snapchatters from posting and viewing Snaps and Stories have been resolved. We apologize for the frustration this caused, and we are working hard to prevent future outages."
Tweets flooded in reporting that the service was down.
Judging by the volume of tweets, the issue appeared to be pretty widespread.
