Work from home in SC: These remote jobs pay $100K or more a year

You might think the number of employees working remotely has decreased since the scary days of the coronavirus pandemic, but research shows it has dropped but not plummeted.

Pew Research Center says 14% of workers — 22 million — work from outside the office. And by next year Pew says 20% of workers will work from home.

The organization also found 42% of office workers would take a 10% pay cut to have the flexibility to work remotely.

There is no shortage of remote jobs posts on hiring websites and while many are computer-related, there are quite a few that you might not expect to see. And some come with hefty salaries.

Indeed has the following listing:

Education Dynamics Llc, based in Kansas, needs a director of social and email marketing at a salary up to $125,000 a year.

The company matches top-tier students with universities.

The job requires five or more years experience in social media and email marketing and involves data analysis, content creation skills and proficiency with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Mailchimp and HubSpot.

“Candidates should possess strong intellectual aptitude and curiosity,” the job post says.

Florida Blue, a health insurance company, is looking for a cybersecurity manager for incident response at a salary between $114,200 and $185,500 a year.

The job requires three or more years’ work experience in cybersecurity, security controls and toolsets, looking for threats, security breaches and just plain figuring out what happened, Forensics.

The job requires a Bachelor’s degree or related IT experience.

Clemson University needs a regional director of development for the western United States at a salary of $89,500 to $120,000 a year.

The job post says, “Clemson is calling ... are you ready to answer the call?” The post advertises Clemson’s inclusion on the top 25 public colleges in the country by the Wall Street Journal, a top South Carolina employer by Forbes and a Military Friendly Employer for five years running.

“Through our research, outreach and entrepreneurial projects, Clemson University and its employees are driving economic development and improving quality of life in South Carolina and beyond,” the listing says.

Basically this job involves securing major gifts from alumni, parents, and friends of Clemson University who live in the Western U.S. The university is looking for people who can give $50,000 and more. The person in this job is expected to raise at least $1.25 million a year to start.

The job requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a year experience in alumni engagement, fundraising, business development, journalism or communication..

National Wild Turkey Federation, Inc. is looking for a managing editor. The salary was not listed.

This position oversees the NWTF website, web editorial team and generates content in a variety of media, from magazines to television and submits press releases.

“Create compelling ways to tell the NWTF story,” the job post says.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field is required as is three years of experience writing for website and or outdoor publications. The person in this job also needs hunter safety certification.

Headhunter Boson is looking for a research analyst for a company they did not name but described as a privately held software company. The salary is $65,000 to $80,000 a year.

“Their flagship product is an innovative business performance research and insights platform that helps enterprise sellers improve and accelerate account engagement and pipeline development,” the job post says.

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a similar field is required as is proficiency with Microsoft applications

ACS Technologies is looking for a ministry platform coach. The salary was not listed. The Florence-based company, founded in 1978, builds software to help ministries with finances and other operations.

This job helps clients with software training.

A Bachelor of Science in Business or related field and one to three years of experience is required.
