Rose Delaney will face more heartbreak on Home and Away following her split with Mali Hudson.
The couple broke up last month in the wake of the attack on her brother Xander. Mali decided to end things after questioning Rose's reaction to the incident.
In scenes that air next week, Rose will be determined to remain on friendly terms with Mali, but Xander suspects that she will only yearn for something more if they stay in contact.

She stops by Manta Ray Boards to check on Mali, but the conversation doesn't go to plan as the pair are noticeably awkward around each other. Mali later tells Mac that he doesn't want to give Rose any hope of rekindling the relationship.
Rose is devastated when she learns that she hasn't been invited to Mali's surprise party, with the cop ditching a night out with Bree in order to crash the event. However, Mali had no idea about the party and Mac was the one who opted not to invite her.
Mali goes to Rose's to apologise for the incident, before revealing that he is stressed about visiting his family the following day. With the pair sharing a tender moment, is there friendship now back on the right track?...

Kirsty Marillier, the actress who plays Rose, recently spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about her character's arc and explained Mali's reasons for the split.
"Mali's perspective is an interesting one because it's about where his value system sits. He really puts family at the forefront of everything that he does," she said.
"So does Rose, but they come at it from a different angle. That's where the friction is caused in the relationship because Mali can't understand her point of view and that upsets Rose."
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
